The Harlow Business Exhibition is a unique opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products and services to other businesses and organisations in Harlow and the surrounding areas.
The aim of the exhibition is to raise awareness of suppliers available in the Harlow area and encourage more B2B local procurement to strengthen the Harlow economy.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet local suppliers and build local connections. The day will also include a panel discussion led by local experts on subjects relevant to today’s difficult economic climate. There will be further networking opportunities over complimentary lunch.

Meet your panel host
Robert Edge joined the Haven Gateway team in August 2020 and is the Client Relationship Manager for Opportunity Harlow.
Previously, he worked in various roles for a Colchester freight forwarder for 10 years before joining the former East of England inward investment agency where he led on the development of their Chinese and Indian marketing strategy, subsequently moving to work for the Bahrain Economic Development Board as their UK-based Northern Europe representative. He then worked for five years at Invest Essex before its closure in April 2020.
Emma Knewstub, founder of Magnificent Stuff marketing consultancy in Harlow has been working in the marketing industry for over 25 years. Emma has been in the involved in multiple global CRM projects and also has a keen and vested interest in local projects such as Discover Harlow, Harlow Chamber and more recently Opportunity Harlow which all aim to champion local businesses. Sharing inspiration, ideas and collaboration with other local business owners is fundamental to her model. She is the marketing lead for some companies, a marketing consultant for others, and a sounding board for many, but ultimately, (as a business coach once described her) she’s a Fame Strategist and she helps make people famous in their sector.
Raja Naveed is Managing Director of Eco-Efficient Home Solutions (EEH-S) – a Harlow-based retrofit installation business founded in 2020. Raja set up EEH-S with the aim of helping communities with energy-efficient measures to tackle the cost-of-living crisis and reduce fuel poverty by installing energy-efficient measures that reduce energy loss. Raja is passionate about supporting the local economy by providing local jobs and community development opportunities. He manages a supply chain network of over 120 people.
Tony Porter is the Commercial Director at Redchurch and along with his brother Trevor acquired the Harlow-based brewery in April 2019. Impacted by the closure of pubs and bars during Covid, Redchurch had to quickly adapt the business to attract home consumer sales to survive. Tony used his 30 years of corporate sales and marketing experience to achieve this.
His success at Redchurch can be seen through the expansion of the product range, offering local and national distribution introducing a gift range, merchandise, and beer snacks. They now also host a wide range of their own events including brewery tours and have converted part of the brewery into a tap room, a contemporary event venue for corporate and private hire.
Ian Tompkins, Partnerships & Health Equity, Herts & West Essex Integrated Care Board
Ian is responsible for partnership development and tackling health and other inequalities in west Essex – working for the NHS alongside the area’s local authorities, other government agencies and the voluntary sector. His current projects include helping to manage the impact of the rising cost of living in Harlow, as well as the implementation of the Government’s Levelling Up programme.
A PR professional by trade, Ian has over 45 years’ experience in both the public and private sector. Having occupied numerous senior roles in the rail industry, NHS and local government, he played a key part in promoting the regeneration of East London and its successful hosting of the London 2012 Olympic Games. His private sector experience includes working for the rock group Queen, the legal sector and West Ham United FC, where he was project director for the club’s move to its new home at the London Stadium.
Julie Houston is Assistant Director – Community Resilience, Communities and Environment at Harlow District Council.

Via the M11: At Hastingwood Interchange, take the 4th exit onto the A414. Take a slight left towards Southern Way/A1169. Keep left to continue on Southern Way/A1169. Turn left into Paringdon Road and to your immediate right is the entrance to Paringdon Sports Club.

Bus: From Harlow Town train station, take the bus 2 or 3 and exit at ‘Milwards’ stop. It’s then a 5 minute walk to the venue
